In the last few years with the development of Next Generation Sequencing the area of personalized medicine or what is now known as precision medicine has emerged. Bioinformatics is crucial to analyze the deluge of data that human genomics is generating to generate better diagnosis and treatment of human diseases.
In our group we develop tools to analyze Whole Genome and Whole Exome Sequencing data to vinculate Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms with the patient phenotype.
